Keerthy Suresh is the Indian Actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam films. She was born on 17 October 1992.

She is the daughter of the Malayalam film producer Suresh Kumar and actress Menaka.

Keerthy made her film debut as a child actress in the early 2000s and returned to fill lead roles after completion of her study in fashion design.

Keerthy Suresh played her first lead role in the Malayalam film Geethaanjali (2013).

Early Life

Keerthy was born to the Malayalam film producer, director Suresh Kumar, and Tamil actress Menaka. Revathy Suresh an elder sister of Keerthy who works as VFX specialist and previously worked for Red Chillies (Shahrukh Khan’s production house).

Keerthy did her schooling up to class four in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and then studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram.

Later she came back to Chennai to join the Pearl Academy to complete a degree in fashion design. She also spent her time on an exchange program in Scotland for four months.

Later she completed two months internship in London. Despite her career towards acting, she was seriously considering a career in design.

Career

Keerthy Suresh started her acting career as a child actress in a few of her father’s productions, in the early 2000s, such as Pilots(2000), Achaneyanenikkishtam (2001) and Kuberan (2002) and few television serials.

Eleven years after Kuberan, she made her acting debut as a lead actress in the horror film Geethaanjali, and she had a dual role. She was still studying at that time but shot for Geethaanjali during her Semester break.

Her next release Ringmaster (in the year 2014) in which she shared the screen with Dileep, and she played the role of a blind girl in the film. For which she said it was much more challenging than her double role in the previous movie Geethaanjali. The film was commercially successful and being termed as Super Hit by Sify.

In 2014, Keerthy accepted her first projects in other languages out of Malayalam. She signed for various Tamil film projects simultaneously. Her first film was a romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2015) opposite Vikram Prabhu, the film not performed well near the box office.

Her busy schedule throughout the year in 2015 meant that she had to withdraw from the films which she had already started working for the movies Maane Thaene Paeye and Kavalai Vendam.

Keerthy worked on two films at a time with Sivakarthikeyan in quick succession, Rajini Murugan and Remo, while also acting in the lead role in Thodari, opposite Dhanush. Her Telugu debut was the film Nenu Sailaja (2016) with actor Ram Pothineni and appeared in Bairavaa (January 2017), opposite actor Vijay. She also acted in Tamil film Paambhu Sattai and Telugu film Nenu Local in the year 2017.

In early 2018, she acted in Agnyaathavaasi and Thaana Serndha Kootam. She also worked in Telugu-Tamil bilingual epic Mahanati where she portrayed the late southernmost popular actress Savitri, and her stunning performance has received critical acclaim.

In 2014, Keerthy completed shooting for the film Darboni, in which she played a role as a Kashmiri girl. On the same year, she also signed up for Telugu film Aina Ishtam Nuvvu.

Her recently released movies are Saamy 2, the Sequel of Saamy, opposite Vikram, Sandakozhi 2 opposite Vishal, and Sarkar starring Vijay in the direction of AR Murugadoss.
